Hab block - Building 1 - Wip post 2

Carrying on from last week I added a few more minor details to the back of the main building. Just a couple of straws for pipes and some electrical cabling.

Started working on the roof-top access stairwell, clearly just an early blocking pass on this at the moment but helped me get an idea of scale for the final layout.

Started work on a rusty tin shack that will sit atop the main building. Really want it to look like it was thrown together from scrap metal. Needs a corrugated roof and two more sides of sheet metal added.

Here's a quick photo to show the concept of the tin shack on top of the stairwell on top of the building. The idea is to have a ladder on the other side of the stairwell down to the ground and a ladder up to the shack on the near side.

Hab block - Building 1 - Wip post 1

Started work on the first Hab block building. Didnt get too far in two hours but reasonably happy with where this is going. Pictures show the back of the building with some details added to break up the plain walls. The plan is to have this side of the building pretty flat so that it can butt up against the edge of the tile.
Bits used so far: Tea bag boxes, Salami in lay tray, biscuit tin in lay, dry wall tape, lollipop sticks.
Needs a few more smaller detail bits, like some pipes and electrical cabling running up from the ground but other than that I can move onto the rest of the building.

Ground level - Rough polystyrene cut outs

A few tile layouts with the new ground layer.

Turns out the sewers are a little deeper and narrower than I imagined. However, once Iv put in a nice thick layer of grime Im hoping that should balance out.
