Hab Block - Building 1 - Wip post 5

Finished the detail on the front of the building by adding some electrical wires and a couple more widgets.

Added some clay to the stairwell to fill in the gaps and give it a bit of a smoother overall texture. Might go back and add cracks, damage etc at a later date. Just happy to fill the giant crevasses that appeared during its build.

Also made a start on the top of the building, with an air-con unit and the rounded tower top. I found a broken solar garden light which I added on a whim and really liked. 

Nearing completion, just need to build a staircase up to the new level, give the new level some small details and flesh out the final side of the main building. Maybe the odd little bit here and there but it is finally starting to take shape.

Tile 5 - Concept - WIP

Now that the two Hab block buildings are starting to take shape I thought I'd do a quick WIP set up to see how it looks. What I discovered it that the tin shack that I built and intended to set up between the top of the roof access stairwell and the chem silo made it look too busy. It would also be very awkward to play with as it would make getting to the models difficult.

Hab Block - Building 1 - Wip post 4

Roof access stairwell attached with fire escape door added, although not seen properly in these pics. It still needs some work, as Im thinking of filling in the gaps and griming it up with some clay/sand mixture. Hopefully try to dry it too quick in order to make it crack and look knackered but we'll see.

Added some detail to the stairwell side of the building with a ladder for access.

Built a small outhouse type building that I hope looks retro fitted to the main block. Still needs a bit more detail on this side of the building but its getting there.

Started to add some detail around the lower levels and added a wall and roof.

Very early concept on building two. Basically just three boxes glued together at the moment.

Early work on the chem silo that will form part of the vent shaft tunnel for the train tracks

Added the large pipes to the side of the main building 

Added a doorway to the roof access stairwell. More details to come later.

Finished the tin shack. Now has the two remaining sides filled in and a corrigated iron roof.
